Manufacturing guide
How to choose a cosmetics OEM/ODM partner
A practical checklist for evaluating formula capability, quality controls, documentation and commercial fit before sampling begins.
Start with product fit, not factory size
The right manufacturing partner should already understand the texture, processing constraints and consumer expectations of your target category. Ask for relevant samples and a clear explanation of what can be adjusted.
Confirm the development path
Clarify whether you are selecting a mature formula, adapting an existing platform or commissioning a new formula. Each route has different implications for timing, testing, minimum order quantity and ownership.
Review evidence early
Discuss ingredient declarations, batch documentation, stability and compatibility testing, claims support and destination-market requirements before approving the commercial brief.
