Frequently asked questions

Clear answers
before sampling.

Start with the practical questions that shape formula, timing, documentation, packaging and order economics.

01What is the difference between OEM and ODM cosmetics manufacturing?+

OEM commonly refers to manufacturing against a buyer-defined specification, while ODM includes product development support such as formula platforms, sensory direction and packaging routes. In practice, the exact scope should be agreed in the project brief.

02What information should I include in my first product brief?+

Include the target consumer, launch market, benchmark products, desired texture and finish, claims direction, packaging idea, quantity range, target cost and launch timing.

03Can I start from an existing formula and customize it?+

Yes. A semi-custom route can adapt an existing platform through shade, finish, fragrance, selected ingredients and packaging. The available changes depend on stability, compatibility and regulatory requirements.

04What is the minimum order quantity?+

MOQ depends on formula, shade count, component availability, decoration and testing scope. It is confirmed after the product and packaging route are aligned.

05Which documents can be supplied?+

Availability depends on the final formula and market, and may include INCI declarations, COA, MSDS, testing records and manufacturing or export documentation.

06How long does a cosmetics development project take?+

A ready-to-brand route is usually fastest. Semi-custom and signature ODM projects require additional sampling, validation, testing and packaging coordination. A project-specific schedule is provided after the brief is reviewed.
